The following are the prototypes of the characters that will appear in Liberty.
TJ
Occupation: Combat-Medic for the Atrius Bureau of Investigations
Fun fact: His girlfriend is cheating on him.
A true hero to the citizens of Atrius. One who inspires courage and hope in the people.
Will Conway
Affiliated with: The Penny Saark Gang
Fun Fact: He's an augmenter.
While also being perhaps the last living computer hacker, Will is the youngest member of the gun-running group known as the Conway Brothers. The Conway Brothers are a band of three half-brothers (and Will's girlfriend, Liv) who specialize in finding hidden caches of weapons and advanced technology that were concealed during the power-struggle that shaped the city. Will's job is to search for digital "treasure maps" that might lead the brothers to "product." Will's talents are further appreciated because most fringers have little idea how computers work and some even treat computers with supersition, calling them spirits. In addition to a custom Mini-14, Will has optical implants that allow him to see into a digital world few others could comprehend.
Liv Bequin
Alias: Will's girl
Affiliated with: The Conway Brothers
Fun Fact: Liv is constantly being made fun of because of her short stature.
Liv has been Will's girlfriend for almost two years and has been an invaluable asset to the Conway operation. In addition to being a strategist, an extra gun, and a good distraction, Liv has the ability to keep the brothers on task. This is no simple feat.
James Conway
Alias: Claw
Fun Fact: Claw has a strong distrust for technology.
Armed with a keen wit, a bad attitude, and a giant metallic arm it's no mystery where the middle Conway Brother got his nickname. Generally sarcastic and laid back, Claw seems out of place as an arms dealer and stubbornly refuses to use his own guns or ammo for fear that it would cut into his profits. With enough muscle and a re-enforced cybornetic arm to back his witty tongue, Claw is somehow able to get by without the use of a firearm. Claw is also a fan of Elvis, a man he knows little about.
Gustav Conway
Affiliated with: The Glorious Assassins (Gang), The Penny Saark gang
Fun Fact: Gustav was a father once...
Being the oldest half-brother, Gustav is the natural leader of the Conway operation. Serious, calculating, and observant, there is little doubt how Gustav has survived this long as the last swordsman in Atrius. Like Claw, Gustav has made a habit or not using firearms and instead relies upon an old longsword.
Through the use of ancient German sword techniques, cover, Type IV armor, and sneak-tactics, Gustav has survived in the fringes for over 35 years. While he has to be deceptive in combat to close distance, Gustav's word is a bond trusted by anyone who has business with the Conway Brothers.
Kade West
Affiliated with: The West Family
Fun Fact: She's missing her left ring finger
The government sanctioned private investigator known as Kade West is perhaps the best shot in all of Atrius. It's no secret that the reason for her talent has something to do with the countless hours she's spent at the shooting range, the numerous dangerous cases she's undertaken, or the fact that she is a child of the infamous West family. Completely devoted to her work, the betterment of the city, Kade believes in the government and subscribes to its propaganda unknowingly. With a strong love for broadcast, Kade's favorite things to watch are ABI, the Artistic Hour, and anime.
Jessica Tyler
Alias: Twitch
Affiliated with: The S.A. (South Atwa) Rocket Punks
Fun Fact: Twitch got her nickname because of a twitch she developed in her left eye.
A psycho. A spastic gunwoman. A nutjob. A loose cannon. These are the lables most frequently reserved for the woman known to most simply as "Twitch." A (gang) member of the S.A. Rocket Punks, Twitch has spent the last few years of her life fighting meaningless battles for turf and for the amusement of others. She is distrustful, quiet, and brooding. As a result of her colorful background, Twitch has developed an itchy trigger finger and a tendency to shoot first, ask questions later...
Doctor Sid Vigente
Alias: Doc
Fun Fact: He sees himself as "More of a surgeon."
A street surgeon and a drug addict who, when sober, is a true master of the medical field capable of performing miracles incomprehensible by today's medical standards. However, Doc is inherently disgusted with humanity and how frequently the people he helps seem to get hurt. He feels unappreciated and thinks that everyone around him is just wants him around for the services he can provide. To shut out the constant whining of those around him, Doc has taken up various addictions and vices, not limited to just chemicals. In order to avoid being "conscripted" by any gang or faction (a common occurance in the fringes) Doc has hired numerous bodyguards who have a somewhat limited lifespan. The most recent bodyguard is Tarot, who works for Doc in exchange for free medcial work.
LEGION
Alias: LEGION
Affiliated with: LEGION
Fun Fact: He only has armor on his front side.
LEGION is a new member of LEGION who holds their ideals to heart but has somehow retained some of his individuality. As a recruit he is not issued a standard sniper kit but instead given a "Crowd Control" Flame-thrower and enough armor to make him a living-distraction.
